Some thoughts as I enter my 33rd cherished year ๐๐ฅณ
- Grey hairs & frown lines are inevitable - embrace them OR just get botox & dye your hair (either way, no one cares - seriously).
- No you’re not old at 21, nor 26, or 32 - you will still get ID’d for paracetamol & Guinness zero.
- Life is better with ๐ถ๐พ
- Dieting - Where you spend more time thinking about the food you can’t eat than actually eating it. Your body is already ๐๐ผ
- Netflix - the reason you haven’t seen sunlight in 3 days (unless you live in the UK).
- Saving is good but do spend your moolah on experiences - they’re worth more.
- Friendships are the best, but don’t expect/allow the effort to be one-sided.
- Everyone has their own shit. Some have WAY bigger shit - gain some perspective before you think your world is doomed.
- Show compassion, it goes further than a โค๏ธ on IG.
- Time flies, especially when you’re procrastinating.
- Discipline is hard, but it’ll serve you well in every area of your life.
- We’re all on our own timeline, stop comparing.
- Happiness is homemade.
- Be nice to your parents. We’re ridiculously luckily to have them, (even when they annoy you) - don’t be a ๐.
- Hangovers get worse, as do your bags & recovery time so drink reasonably and match it with agua.๐ง
- Confidence is key, don’t expect people to buy into you if YOU don’t buy into you.
- People will hurt you - you’re not responsible.
& yes you will likely upset people at some point- recognise your own flaws & apologise.
- Finding your passion is rare, but worth the search.
- It’s ok not to have all the answers; don’t google them.
- Do more of the things you enjoy & keep challenging yourself.
- Reading will give you more value than scrolling ever will. ๐
- There is no “perfect person”. All relationships require effort.
- Do more hugging, kissing, ** etc - it’s good for you (& fun).
- Health is wealth. I had my first health scare last year - (I’m ok) but if we’re not careful the fear of the unknown can make you ๐ v.quickly. Stay positive - it’s a choice - You’re so lucky.
- & learn to “let go” of the things you can’t control. ๐↔๏ธ
